A Little Bit About Myself
Hi, I’m Everett Baetens, an FAA-certified drone pilot and the founder of Great North Aerial Imagery. My journey with drones actually started back in high school, when I took a drone class at Harbor Springs. What began as a fun elective quickly turned into a real passion for aerial photography and learning the ins and outs of flight tech.
I’ll never forget my first flight—it ended with a DJI Inspire stuck in a tree. Not exactly how I pictured it, but it taught me a lot about patience, problem-solving, and how much I still had to learn. Since then, I’ve been all in, constantly working to improve my skills and turn this passion into something meaningful.
That’s why I started Great North Aerial Imagery to provide high-quality, creative aerial content for people who want to see their projects, events, or properties from a whole new angle.
My Gear
If you're interested in the equipment I use, my primary cinematography drone is the Autel Evo II Pro V3 Enterprise. It’s a reliable platform known for its high-quality camera, robust controller, and advanced 3D mapping capabilities—making it ideal for both creative and commercial applications.
I also operate a custom-built FPV (First Person View) drone equipped with a DJI O4 Pro Air Unit, paired with a GoPro Hero 11 for capturing dynamic, fast-paced footage with smooth, immersive results.
