A Little Bit About Myself
I'm Everett Baetens, an FAA-certified drone pilot and founder of Great North Aerial Imagery. I’ve been flying drones professionally since 2023, but my interest started earlier during a drone class at Harbor Springs High School.
What began as a class quickly turned into a genuine passion for aerial photography and the technical side of drone operations. Starting out wasn’t without its challenges—my first flight ended with a DJI Inspire drone stuck in a tree—but that experience taught me a lot about persistence and problem-solving. I’ve been honing my skills ever since.
Great North Aerial Imagery was created to turn that passion into a service—offering high-quality aerial visuals for clients who need a fresh perspective from above.
My Gear
If you're interested in the equipment I use, my primary cinematography drone is the Autel Evo II Pro V3 Enterprise. It’s a reliable platform known for its high-quality camera, robust controller, and advanced 3D mapping capabilities—making it ideal for both creative and commercial applications.
I also operate a custom-built FPV (First Person View) drone equipped with a DJI O4 Pro Air Unit, paired with a GoPro Hero 11 for capturing dynamic, fast-paced footage with smooth, immersive results.
